OUR WHY
Chelsyfest exists because of one fierce person. Chelsy Giles lived with epilepsy — and she lived with laughter, curiosity, and a love for the people around her that still echoes through everyone she touched.
When we lost her, we refused to let that light go quietly. Starting in 2022, we decided to celebrate her the way she loved most — with live music, good vibes, great people, and always great beer — all while raising awareness and funding research and care for those living with epilepsy. And every year we come back, in her honor, to make sure her story never ends and the circle remains unbroken.
OUR MISSION
In honor of Chelsy Marise Giles, and benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, our mission is to provide epilepsy education and awareness in the Athens, GA, area and to provide people in Georgia living with epilepsy opportunities to learn life skills to cope with their disorder.
